Nicaragua: In the best way

It seems I have reached the point where "I don't want to work anymore" meets "look at all these work opportunities I have."

During the month of April, my penultimate month of Peace Corps service, I have been busy with visiting my schools and supporting my counterpart teachers in the classroom, facilitating a teacher training for my counterparts on the topic of market study, assisting with a teacher training in a fellow volunteer's site on the development of classroom materials, holding career fairs at two of my schools, organizing a practicum week for the new group of volunteers and hosting four of them in my site for the past week, facilitating trainings for the same group of new volunteers, meanwhile making the rounds to parts of Nicaragua I hadn't yet visited.

It seems that as much as I want to wave my white flag, something refuses to let me stop working. The good news is: I'm enjoying myself; the bad news: I'm exhausted. Nevertheless, I'd rather be busy and content in my last months of service as opposed to bored and unsatisfied.

The time has come to wrap up my projects, write final work reports, and more importantly: enjoy these days with Nica friends and Peace Corps friends alike. At this point I can look back on my service and be happy with what I've been able to accomplish. As for the coming 33 days, the main goal is to turn it down a notch, not work so hard, and be sincerely present to the people who have been an integral part of these past two years.
