Mexico: Changing Seasons
Happy October! That means it is time for the leaves to change colors and fall off the trees, right? Well, apparently not when you're living in Mexico. The trees are still green here; however, I won't complain since I saw that there was snowfall in Minnesota this past week. There may have been a slight change in the temperature here within the past seven days...as in, it is three degrees cooler in the morning when I leave for work. No worries, though. Each afternoon the sun still rises and the peak temperature reaches its usual mid-70s perfection.
I saw the stars this week for the first time in two months, and it was spectacular. Upon looking up towards the sky I noticed something shining, and it wasn't an artificial light like usual. It happened to be Orion's belt. On this particular evening the clouds decided to clear, the smog lifted, and the city lights gave nature a chance to shine (literally).
All this nature talk makes me really want to escape from the city for a bit and perhaps go on a camping trip, or maybe to the beach. I will get on the plans for that. As for today, I am going Starbucks-hopping.
