Mexico: The Rain

Nobody told me to pack my rainboots. First of all, they would come in real handy during the daily downpours (which always occur exactly when I need to walk somewhere, of course). Secondly, they are pretty fashionable. I have seen many a chilanga sporting obnoxiously-patterned rainboots while walking down the street. My super hero rainboots would fit right in.

Today I was at work, on the tranquil sixth floor of our ten-story building, when a loud crack of thunder gave us a startle. Looking off into the distance we could see rain clouds and strong rain falling on a different part of the city. I left the building 30 minutes later, and without a hitch the rain had reached my neighborhood by that time. Thankfully I catch the metro bus right outside my building so I got out of this one without getting too wet.
